Nepenthes Albomarginata

This plant is 1 year old. The N. albo was grown from seeds which came from Bukit Barisan mountains,West Sumatra. The seeds were harvest on 2/3/14.

N. albo grows between 0 meters and 1100 meters above sea level which puts it in the ultra low to intermediate range. This makes the N. albo and easy nepenthes to grow. It is endemic to the Indonesian provinces of North Sumatra and West Sumatra. The N. albo is a climber and will get quite large. It is not suitable for a terrarium. The pitchers can become 12 inches long.

The surrounding humidity has been 65% to 70% and the temp around 75F to 78F. It is growing in long fiber sphagnum moss and watered using rain water from the bottom via the tray method.

The N. albo was grown under a single, 32 watt, T8, cool white florescent light 14 inches above. It can handle strong indirect to direct sunlight but acclimate slowly.

SHIPPING: The plant will be shipped bare root, wrapped in sphagnum moss. Please have pot and potting soil ready.

I do my best to make sure the roots are disturbed as little as possible. It is normal that pitchers or a leaf may drop after being transplanted. This is a very hardy plant, easy to grow under lowland to intermediate conditions and should pick up right where it left off.

US Only: I ship only to the US using Priortiy mail, 1-3 business days.
